Robinson CPA and Carl Webb CPA round out the list in the third spot. Robinson is best known as a tax preparer that has served clients loyally for years. Taxes, bookkeeping, payroll and other services are offered by Carl Webb CPA, which has been in business in Tulsa for more than a quarter-century.

HoganTaylor also wins the top slot in Oklahoma City. Specialties of HoganTaylor include health care, not-for-profit and government, oil and gas, private foundation and public companies. Cole & Reed, this year’s second place winner, focuses on building relationships and achieving goals with its loyal clients. Early & Means, located in Nichols Hills, rounds out this year’s top three.


There are several places to go to get that skin smooth and radiant. However, in Tulsa, readers recommend Gabriel Horn of Dr. Joey Manduano Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery. Horn’s specialties include chemical peels, microdermabrasion and waxing, and he does them very well. Lee Beasley of Bella Vita Spa & Salon comes in second place. Beasley’s services of microdermabrasion for the face, neck and chest as well as collagen eye and lip treatments make her a sought-after aesthetician. Laura Downey of Skin Care Institute rounds out this year’s top three. Offering services such as Hydraclean Facial, Dermaplaning and laser acne therapy, Downey is one of the most trusted in Tulsa.

Vanessa Velasquez of The Medical Spa earns the first place nod for Best Aesthetician in Oklahoma City. Services include skin rejuvenation, laser hair removal and Fraxel. Having worked in the Oklahoma City area for more than 25 years, Suzanne Kelley of Bella Strada Salon Spa has amassed a loyal legion of customers who insist that she is a true professional and will make anyone feel comfortable. Brenda Livingston of Medical Aesthetics rounds out the top three. A full-service dry cleaner with more than 25 years serving the Tulsa metro area, Fox Cleaners offers dry cleaning, laundry and garment preservation services. WaterStone Cleaners offers shoe repair and shining and alterations in addition to dry cleaning and laundry services.

Legacy Cleaners & Laundry, Oklahoma City’s top spot for laundry and dry cleaning services, has operated for more than 15 years. During that time, the business has expanded to eight locations in three cities. With more than a dozen facilities under the INTEGRIS banner, the health system is bringing health and relief to residents across the state. Mercy Health System and OU Medicine tie for second place. Mercy offers top-notch doctors, nurses and staff to its patients at its hospitals and specialty clinics. OU Medicine, with its expansive campus just west of downtown Oklahoma City, offers the latest in technology and research; OU Medical Center also houses the state’s only Trauma One Center. Deaconess Hospital and St. Anthony’s Hospital round out this year’s list. When it comes to choosing an appropriate nursing home for a loved one, Tulsa readers vouch for Saint Simeon’s Episcopal Home, which provides several levels of care, including medication assistance, dressing and grooming, whirlpool baths or showers and daily housekeeping services. This level of care is what makes Saint Simeon’s tops in Tulsa. Oklahoma Methodist Manor, coming in second this year, offers smaller houses for residential nursing care. Each home accommodates up to 16 members that enjoy their own living, dining and outdoor spaces. An attentive nursing staff means your loved one will be well cared for. Forest Hills Assisted Living provides extended-stay nursing care to patients who need constant assistance. The facility, located in Broken Arrow, rounds out the top three in Tulsa.

Epworth Villa, located in Oklahoma City, offers options such as memory care, long-term care and skilled nursing. The number one goal of Epworth is to keep residents healthy through skilled service, which is why readers voted them number one in Oklahoma City. Sterling House in Oklahoma City offers a wide variety of skilled nursing services to its residents, as well as amenities including pet care, room service and escorts to outside appointments. The high level of care is what earned Sterling House the second spot in this year’s survey. Spanish Cove Retirement Village offers 71 private rooms and suites at the Pavilion, a level of continuing care. Residents have their own assigned staff, and high security and privacy means that loved ones can feel safe. For this, and many other reasons, Spanish Cove rounds out our top three in Oklahoma City.


When there’s something wrong with the eyes, ophthalmologists can be the saviors. Dr. Mark Abel at Triad Eye Medical Clinic specializes in removing cataracts, corneal transplants, laser surgeries and refractive surgeries. Dr. Russell Crain provides routine vision care and screenings as well as solutions for dry eye and glaucoma treatment. He also specializes in senior vision care. Dr. Blane Snodgrass and Dr. Robert Zoellner share the top spot this year. Dr. Snodgrass specializes in eye examinations, as well as treating infections and injuries. His office also offers the latest in contact lens technology. Dr. Zoellner, who has two locations, offers the latest in technology to help evaluate and find the best way to correct vision. Dr. Zoellner also treats eye conditions like myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia and presbyopia. Dr. Denise Bode Johnson and Dr. Denise Roddy share the second spot. Dr. Bode Johnson specializes in exams for patients with diabetes, eye infections and eye injuries and provides standard eye care. Dr. Roddy also provides standard eye services and can help patients suffering from low vision and eye diseases, including cataracts and glaucoma. Dr. Norman Hinkle and Dr. Jerry West share the third spot on this year’s Tulsa survey. Dr. Hinkle provides comprehensive eye exams for adults as well as for children. Dr. Matt Heim serves patients of all ages to help improve the appearance of their teeth. Orthopedic Surgeon

These doctors are pretty important; after all, what would humans be without their bones? Dr. Scott Dunitz of Tulsa Bone & Joint Associates and Dr. Greg Holt of The Orthopaedic Center both top the list as Best Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Dunitz’s primary specialty is in adult reconstruction surgery and total joint replacements. In practice since 1988, Dr. Dunitz also serves as an assistant professor at OU-Tulsa Medical College. Dr. Holt is board certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship trained in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Yogesh Mittal, also of The Orthopaedic Center, comes in second this year. Dr. Mittal specializes in adult hip and knee reconstruction and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Ronald LaButti of Central States Orthopedic Specialists and Dr. Bradford Boone of Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center share the third spot this year. Dr. LaButti’s areas of special interest include total joint replacement, arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of lower extremities, sports medicine and trauma. Rounding out the third spot is Prissy Pampered Pups, whose specialties include clipping and trimming fur, bathing, brushing, nails, glands and ear cleaning.


Pharmacies provide a vital service, whether we’re ill or just trying to maintain good health. Walgreens is the top vote-getter in Tulsa for Best Pharmacy. With many locations across the metro, the accessibility and convenient drive-through service make it a great pharmacy. CVS comes in second place, with an expanding roster of stores across Tulsa and great customer service. The Apothecary Shoppe is a compounding pharmacy that can mix specialized medications for customers.

In Oklahoma City, Walgreens also takes the top spot for friendly staff and speedy service. CVS also gains the second spot in OKC. With conveniences like express refill for in-store pick-up, CVS is popular with loyal customers. Locally owned and operated, Conrad Marr Drug Company rounds out the top three.
