DC on Film Row in Oklahoma City welcomes a crowd every Thursday night to its free concert series, The Mix. On August 13, Elms will be on stage, along with Kaitlin Butts, starting at 7 p.m. Elms, a four-person indie rock group, includes the talents of Chelsey Cope, vocalist; Michael Bewley, bass; Billy Reid, drums; and Chavez Soliz, guitar. Kaitlin Butts, a 21-year-old Oklahoma singer/songwriter, will be opening the concert. Showing a lot of promise in her young career, Butt’s country sound reverberates old soul, and her album, Same Hell, Different Devil includes a few Oklahoma greats, including Alan Orebaugh and Lloyd Maines.
