Not many people can say they’ve heard the classic sound of Queen’s hit “Bohemian Rhapsody” played on a viola and a harp, but on Sunday, July 14, Appassionata Duo will be bringing a different style to the rock anthem and other hit songs at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center’s Liddy Doenges Theatre, 110 E. Second St. The Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust hosts a unique performance by Tulsa Symphony musicians Jeff Cowen and Jill Wiebe for this event, part of the annual SummerStage Festival of performing arts. Classic pop and rock hits from the Beatles, Journey, Michael Jackson and more will be performed. Even modern chart-toppers from bands like Coldplay will be heard. Show time is 4 p.m., and tickets are $12 for adults and $9 for seniors and students. For more on this concert, visit www.myticketoffice.com.
