| Description |
This season the winter wind blows sweetly, as Tulsa Camerata presents a concert of chamber music for wind instruments in time for the holidays. The legendary prankster Till Eulenspiegel gets his comeuppance in German composer Franz Hasenöhrl’s unique take on Richard Strauss’s tone poem. Mozart’s intimate Adagio and Rondo recalls friendly music making in the salons of Old Europe, while David Maslanka’s contemporary Wind Quintet No. 2 showcases the American composer’s distinctively accessible style. Crowning the program is a performance of Johannes Brahms’s dazzling yet intimate Trio for Horn, Violin and Piano. |
