Saturday, June 29, 3-10pm, Untitled will be hosting a Steamroller Print Festival outdoors! Complete with children’s printmaking activities, Big Truck Tacos, Drive By Press, live music and a late night movie... this festival will be an all-out summertime celebration!
The main event of the evening will be a steamroller printing session. Visitors can watch while University of Oklahoma art students print their large-scale, hand-carved woodblocks onto large sections of fabric using a steamroller (check out a video of this printing method here). The participants of [Artspace] at Untitled's recent woodblock workshop will be able to print their creations alongside OU students as well. While enjoying gourmet tacos from the signature Big Truck Tacos truck, you will have the opportunity to get t-shirts printed by Drive By Press. Based in New York City and Austin, TX, Drive By Press takes their woodblock printing on the road to locations all over the country printing awesome t-shirts right out of their truck! Untitled will conclude the evening after sunset with an outdoor movie projected on the side of our building.
General admission to this festival is FREE! If you want to get shirts printed by Drive By Press or your kids want to participate in the children's printmaking activities, bring your own t-shirts! We will have a few extras just in case.
If you aren’t into printing, that’s cool too! Come socialize with us and enjoy good food, great music and a beautiful summer evening in the city! Our indoor gallery will be open late as well so you’ll be able to see our current exhibition, [Un]Bound: 3D Printmaking.
Kids events: 3-6 p.m.
