From www.livingarts.org:
IDENTIFY YOURSELF Description: Who are you? What makes you YOU? The only thing closer and more vital to human beings than our heartbeat is our identity. Identify Yourself is an interactive journey through the vast terrain of individual and collective selfhood. On Dec. 8, 2012, Tulsa's finest poets and performing artists will breathe life-fire on the Living Arts state through their original works, exploring the complex theme of identity. Gender, race, physical appearance, name, spiritual belief/practice, familial ties, sexual orientation, and occupation are among the identity manifestations covered. Audience members will be challenged to consider, to articulate, to celebrate, to more fully embrace their own answers to the timeless question: "Who are you?" Gallery is open 1-5 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday, 1-9 p.m. Thursday. |
