"America in Ink 2" is the second installment of a multi-year national portfolio project, "The Visual History of the United States."
The completed project will consist of seven installments of prints by artists across the nation to create a visual history. Each installment covers more than three decades, and each artist is assigned a year within the selected period. The image can be of a specific event or an interview of that entire year; it can convey any number of emotions and can be satirical, serious, humorous or otherwise thought provoking.
The first installment, which opened at the Henry Zarrow Center for Art and Education in August 2012, featured events from 1774 to 1809. "America in Ink 2" covers U.S. history from 1810 to 1844.
The exhibit runs from Aug. 2 through Sept. 29.
