Country music star LeAnn Rimes will take the stage Friday night. In 1996, Leann Rimes burst on the music scene with her hit single “One Way Ticket (Because I Can)”, which reached No.1 on the Billboard County Chart. The single was off of her debut album, which sold 123,000 copies in its first week. With the success of the album, Rimes received numerous industry awards. In 1997, Rimes became the youngest person to win a Grammy for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal at age 14. Following the success of her first album, Rimes has had 42 singles on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart, and her version of “How Do I Live” is the second-longest charting song in the history of the Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Her last album, Spitfire, was released in 2013 and received a warm reception by music critics, debuting at number one on Billboard’s Top Country Album chart and number four on iTunes.
