If you’re looking for a word to describe the production of Giselle, “spellbinding” might be it. Giselle tells the story of a naïve young girl seduced by a man and left brokenhearted. The man pretends to be a peasant, but over the course of time, Giselle learns he is nobility and engaged to a princess. The young peasant girl dies of a broken heart and becomes a ghost hell-bent on vengeance. The ballet first premiered in Paris, and has since inspired many young dancers with captivating choreography and beautiful costumes. The Oklahoma City Ballet brings the original Adolphe Adam production to the Oklahoma City Civic Center. For more information, please visit www.okcballet.com.
