The ‘90s also witnessed Connick build on his early musical success with his songwriting skills and as a composer. In the 2000s, he found more success as a multi-talented entertainer, starring as the lead role in the ABC original show South Pacific and expanding to the Broadway stage, where he received Tony Award nominations as composer and lyricist for the musical Thou Shalt Not and The Pajama Game. Connick’s legacy includes three Grammy awards, two Emmy Awards, two Tony Award nominations and sales of 28 million albums with rave reviews.
